If you love nail polish as much as we do, I think we all encounter the issue of where we store these bad boys right? Well, we’ve got an affordable and easy to make solution for you guys (which isn’t new, we know, but it’s a lot of fun to make and put to use!).
Take the 1st foam board (backboard): Draw a horizontal line every 5 inches
On the 2nd foam board: Cut 7 TWO inch strips horizontal *used as shelves* & then cut 7 ONE inch strips horizontal *used as shelve stoppers*
On the 3rd foam board: Cut 2 TWO 1/2 inch strips *the side of your rack*
-Take the 2 inch strips and glue them to the lines we drew on the first foam board. And glue them to the top and bottom of the foam board to make the shelving complete.
-Take your 2 1/2 inch strips and glue them to the side of your rack.
-Take your 1 inch strips (decorated or not) and glue to your shelves to prevent your nailpolishes from slipping off.
And success, you are done! And ready to put your nail polishes on and organize as you wish.
Share with us if you’ve done this before or share with us how you store your nail polishes, we’d love to see!
Valentine’s day, as we age, the simplistic day becomes more commercialized to loving couples (nothing wrong with that). But remember as kids in grammar school how excited we all got! Buying cute cards and candy for the whole class and making paper heart valentines by hand. Truly hand-making almost each valentine. Also everyone got one, what was not to love about that. Now that we are older you lose that innocence with a valentine and it has gotten more intimate. Why not bring back those memories and give out valentines to your friends! So here is a very simple treat bag to hand out to your loveable friends, cause that is what Valentines day is about, a little sugar for those you consider close to your heart.
Things I used:
– pink paper bags
– glitter glue pens
– assorted scrapbooking items
– my selection of candy
I decided every bag would look different and personalize each one 🙂 So feel free to go crazy with the decorations! Also my choice in candies were purely selfish (hey I am always down for some candy). Very simple idea , just decorate to your liking add candy and close with ribbon on top. I made 7 Valentine Treat Bags for around 30! The bulk was the candy. The bags and glitter pens and stickers I bought at target for around a dollar each item. If this is a belated Valentines present I expect the candy to be loads cheaper (day after). I should show you more of the end result, I think they capture the hand made aspect quite well!
Enjoy making it! I am positive it will bring joy to your friends 🙂
